Baltimore: The Curse Bells #5 – Concluding this story arc.  A nice wrap-up, getting to see that even though Baltimore is helping his main focus is purely selfish.

Batgirl #4 – Better than the previous issues.  But, I still can’t say I like it.  I was a fan of Steph, honestly.

Batman and Robin #4 – Right behind Snyder’s Batman is this book.  The mood in here is unmatched and makes you want to see where Damian is going.

Batwoman #4 – Oh wow.  Those splash pages; glorious!  The story is also rather noir.

Deathstroke #4 – ‘A Roaring Rampage of Revenge’ comes to mind.  Have to see where this is going as far as story is concerned.

Demon Knights #4 – Very Morrison.  Have to see where this is going.  Be interesting to see if something of this will pop up in Stormwatch.

Frankenstein #4 – I really like this book.  It’s like an old monster movie with modern sensibility.  Moving into OMAC territory next issue.

Green Lantern #4 – I have no idea what is supposed to have happened with Hal.  It was great to see the turn against Sinestro.

Grifter #4 – Oh if only old Olie had shown up.  But, it wasn’t bad.  Slightly less great than the previous issues.

Legion Lost #4 – Not sure where all this is heading.  It seems like this would be interesting to see it as a cross-over series with other titles.

Mister Terrific #4 – I really used to like Mister Terrific.  This is very near a mess.  (It could probably get better)

Resurrection Man #4 – Still fighting with those two.  But ends with the promise of questions answered.  I’m not really sure what it is, but I like it.

The Shade #3 – Setting the stage for something grandiose.

Suicide Squad #4 – I think it was better last issue, but this went back to being less so.  Selling out Boomer already?  Really?

Superboy #4 – Still not liking him as much as the old Superboy.  Have to wonder if they’re switching up who his human DNA comes from.

Action Comics #4 – What is there really to say, other than it’s great?  Steel’s already shown up.  That kinda puts a hamper on Death of Superman, but oh well.  Sad that the linear narrative is being broken up though.

Animal Man #4 – If you’re not reading this, you’re wasting your time.  Read it!  There is nothing better than experiencing this book.

Batwing #4 – I really like the background for this series.  It’s rather down-to-earth in regard to child-soldiers and such.  Hope it doesn’t follow the cliché of Massacre being either his brother or that warlord.

Detective Comics #4 – This issue was better than the preceding.  I’m not sure that’s saying much though.  Better than The Dark Knight, but with two other good Bruce Bats series set in the present, it really begs the question of ‘why?’

Green Arrow #4 – It’s sort of underwhelming.  Not bad, but not that great.  I really liked the last volume of Green Arrow and it’s sad to see an older Olie gone.

Hawk & Dove #4 – Oh god…  What is this?  Gates, man, I loved your Supergirl run.  But, this?  It’s like he found out who his artist was a said ‘fuck it, if they don’t care, I don’t care!’

Hellblazer Annual 2011 – Wonderful short story.  Very noir and to a point you can hear the sound-track as ice-cold wind whipping past your ears.

Huntress #3 – I still miss her being in Birds, but this is a nice consolation.  Wonder if she’s gonna appear in anyone’s books after this mini.  Hint: she better!

Justice League International #4 – I think this book is being hindered by Batman being in it.  He’s not part of the team.  So, we still don’t know what the book it gonna be like which just the core members present.  It’s still good though.

Penguin #3 – Wow.  He’s one sick, twisted bastard.  Then it switches it up and almost makes you feel bad for him.  I guess the tone is ‘probably past redemption?’

Men of War #4 – Like the back-up features.  At first it seemed like it was a straight-up war book, then with an element of magic(?).  Now, I’m not sure what to feel about it.

OMAC #4 – I really am not sure if I like this (or care?) but it’s almost like there’s set-up with nothing building.  Franky comes next issue, so that might be a plus.  Tying it into the rest of the series.  Almost makes it seem like there should have been a Checkmate! on-going to mirror events here.

Red Lanterns #4 – This is where it’s almost turning around.  Hopefully it’s gonna get to a point.  I actually just realised it’s written by Milligan.  That’s kinda sad, given how much I love Hellblazer.  His other series is fine too, it could just be these characters.

Static Shock #4 – I get the feeling that this is a book that not many people will read.  But, it’s actually a quality title.

Stormwatch #4 – Interesting characters with a plot that almost seems too bit.  Like it should have been a mini-event.  Especially if they mention other Capes coming.  Thought, it could just tie in with Superman and that would be fine.

Swamp Thing #4 – I don’t know how Snyder does it, but he does.  It’s all building up to a point that you can’t wait for what’s going to happen.

Ultimates #4 – Very good cliff-hanger.  A True ‘No-Win’ scenario.

THUNDER Agents #1 – I haven’t read any of this series pre-DCnU so this is my first.  Nice art, probably need to reread when the mini is complete.

Legion: Secret Origins #2 – Honestly, I’m not sure.  The cast is too large for me to get a handle on the book.  Brainiac 5 is still a favorite though.

Spaceman #2 – Confusing in a way that makes me want to know more.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #4 – The turtles are all together now.  Time for this series to have a central focus.

Ultimate Hawkeye #4 – I’m not quite sure what all this was about.  Rather sure it’s set-up.

All-Star Western #3 – Very good.  Nice to see a wide story ark with Jonah Hex.

Aquaman #3 – Really liking this series so far.

Batman: The Dark Knight #3 – Arkham City, how ya doin’ thar?  Honestly, there are too many Bruce books that aren’t on the level as Batman.  It just drags.

Blackhawks #3 – Really not feeling like this is going anywhere.  Like the Ultimates, but less interesting.

The Flash #3 – THIS IS GREAT!  Manapul doing art before was wonderful and with his writing it’s only gotten better!

Firestorm #3 – Hmm.  The plot-point of the ‘Firestorm Protocol’ being a MAD counter-measure is rather good.  Too bad the writing is just as horrible as it has been.

Green Lantern: New Guardians #3 – What?  Really?  I can’t say I’m enjoying this series.  The New Guardians were a better concept when they first showed up last year in GL.

Hawkman #3 – I’m not sure why I like this series.  I think it’s the art.  The story is also rather mystery oriented and captivating.

Hellblazer #285 – This is what you want when you want a book about magic in the modern age.

I, Vampire #3 – Seems rather epic in tone.  Not sure when this is supposed to take place.  Seems very post-apocalyptic.  Plus, BATS!

Justice League Dark #3 – It seems like this is a team book as a super-hero is to an anti-hero.  A loose gathering of characters?

The Shade #2 – Where is this going?  I’m along for the ride.

Superman #3 – Lot better than the previous two books.  Nice seeing Supe’s history.  Makes it seem more epic.

Voodoo #3 – I don’t know about this series.  Looks like it’ll cross over with Grifter.  There’s not a lot to keep interested in.

Hey, The Ray is getting a mini by Jonah Hex scribe team.  That seems like an odd combo.  The only bad part is it’s a new Ray (I think?) but looks like it could be entertaining.

The Punisher #5 – Rucka, I followed you!  A great character piece.  Way to break that kid’s heart!

Ultimate X-Men #3 – Oh, is that action I see coming?  Please, thanks, I wanna see what’s going on.

Batman #3 – This is where it’s at.  It’s almost(not almost) a shame that there are so many other Bat-books focusing on Bruce that detract from this one.  They’re a blight on the wonderful characterization he receives here.

Birds of Prey – I’m starting to warm up even more to this series.  The characters are really interacting well together.  I still miss green Ivy, though.

Blue Beetle #3 – I like it.  There are some things that are just ‘egh’ but I can’t say I hate it.  Actually, I just like Jaime and the scarab interactions….

Catwoman #3 – It’s good to see something other than Selina and Bruce loving it up (although it’s still there).  You can actually see she has character standing behind her.

Captain Atom #3 – Is that clock supposed to show that he’s been Cap Atom for that many days? I still can’t see what this series is aiming for.

DCU Presents: Deadman #3 – This is actually pretty interesting and I wanna see were this is going.

Green Lantern Corps #3 – Nice ‘last stand’ moment but not a whole lot happening

Justice League #3 – Wonder Woman is a nice touch here.  The guys are bickering still.  And Vic is luck his dad just happened to have that half-mask laying around…

Legion of Super-Heroes #3 – It’s really hard to keep up with everybody, but I’m here to see what happens.

Nightwing #3 – What’s the mystery?  Why’s Dick a feared killer?

Red Hood and the Outlaws #3 – This is more like what I wanted from this series.  It honestly could have had less ‘touching’ moments and I would have been happy.  I was a dumb’n'fun type from this book.

Supergirl #3 – I don’t know what it is; I like Supergirl books.  Since I started with the last volume, the Supergirl books were always better than the ‘Man books.  Plus, one character that actually benefited from the redesign.

Wonder Woman #3 – MMM.  Great.  You take that chance to shake up her history and run with it!  Great story-telling and art.

Ultimate Spiderman #4 – Set-up is finally over and the action is about to begin.  Jumping from Miles getting a suit after the death of Peter and past his first appearance in Fallout.  Spiderwoman is gonna have her say.  Rather good read.

Baltimore: The Curse Bells #4 – Continuing the story.  It’s hard to complain and critique a story that has a clear ending in mind.  Still good and excited to see where it’ll end off.

Batgirl #3 – I have no idea how Simone can write this bad.  Honestly. I thought that either Dick or Barb were evil given how quickly the playful tussle turned to an all-out fight.  Then it actually was just them being coy.  What?  This is just arduous…

Batman and Robin #3 – This is the Bat-book to read if you want Batman and a supporting cast.  There’s not much else to say.  Damian is written well and his interaction with his father is rather tragic.  Get it!

Batwoman #3 – There’s nothing to say, except; why wouldn’t you read it?  The pacing might be off because it’s meant to be taken as a whole, but that’s hardly an issue.

Deathstroke #3 – If you want a fun romp this is the book.  It’s nice to see almost the opposite of Bruce Wayne, in the family using their money to avenge a pile of crap daughter just because they have the money and are self-serving.

Demon Knights #3 – Here we go!  This is the book that I was expecting.  I was really waiting for this before the launch, then the first issue didn’t get me like I had hoped it would.  However, this is the book that I had in mind when I heard about it.

Frankenstein: Agent of SHADE #3 – Another fun book.  This is a joy to read.  I don’t know if that comes off sounding bad.  I mean it in the best way possible.  You don’t feel like you could have used your time any other way after reading it.

Green Lantern #3 – Is it bad I like Sinestro more than Hal?  At first I was mad that the only serious Flashpoint didn’t effect was GL and I held that against the series.  But, it’s moved on now and I’m with it.  Well, Sinestro, he’s the main character as far as I’m concerned.

Grifter #3 – I’d never read any Wildstorm.  I don’t know how this compares to that version.  This is still a good thriller type book.  It has me interested where it’s going.

Huntress #2 – Oh Helena.  Oh the art.  This is great!  Like Batwoman, nothing else needs be said.

Legion Lost #3 – I haven’t a clue.  This should have been a mini.  That’s the entire feel I get from it.

Mister Terrific #3 – Ahh.  Better than the previous two.  I still don’t much care for his design, but he’s starting to sound less like a conceited ass and more like the previous version of himself.  Please no more Karen Starr crap though.  Go off with those aliens!

Penguin: Pain and Prejudice #2 – Eww.  The writing is well done, but the subject…?  Eww…  Probably could have done without them showing how he killed everyone, but it was still fine.

Resurrection Man #3 – I dunno what it is about this book.  The tone is light-suspense-horror.  It might be a bit slow, but not to the point that nothing happens.  The retired super-villian at the end reminds me of an Animal-man issue, 7 I think?

Suicide Squad #3 – Why?  Seriously, why?  Captain Boomerang is a nice addition.  The down side to that is that he’ll be written by the same person that has ruined all the other characters in the book.

Superboy #3 – I’m really on the edge about this book.  It’s not that it’s uneven in quality.  The thing is just I can’t see where the direction is heading.

Hmm. School later today. Then new Harry Potter. I’m actually looking forward to it. Lunch now.

I really need to get something done…
